The Dynamia team, in collaboration with PhD candidate Josheena Naggea at Stanford University, have produced a report on the combined effects of the 1st Mauritian COVID-19 lock-down and the sinking of the bulk carrier MV Wakashio on the south-east coast of Mauritius.

The aim of this report is to establish a reliable and apolitical inventory of the key social and economic issues in this region, to guide aid providers such as the government, Non-Governmental Organisations, and International Funds, to target their actions in the most efficient way possible.

This study also seeks to methodically record the events and consequences associated with the sinking of the Wakashio in order to observe them with perspective and draw the necessary lessons for the future.
